Hi. We're working through the first batch of boards from our board house, using the RZ/N1D. Our design is heavily based on the CONNECT IT! demo board. For this build, we are starting with a very basic bring up guide for acceptance of these boards:
- Check power rail resistances
- Power up and program the Lattice MachX02 power manager chip
- Measure and verify power rails
- Connect to DFU USB (using alternative boot jumper) and verify the PC sees the board using dfu-util (as outlined here https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/man/rzn1-u-boot-users-manual?language=en)
Unfortunately, we have several boards where the DFU is not seen by the PC. We double check soldering between the USB port and the RZ/N1D, but have no other way to debug this issue.
Questions:
- Is it possible for the DFU to become erased? If so, is there a way to reprogram it?
- Is there another way to verify the A7 core is running?
- What are the next steps in debugging a board with these issues?
Thanks in advance!
